Dr. Mingyu Li

3D printing for biomedical and biochemical applications

Mingyu Li's research interest currently lies in 3D printing for biomedical and biochemical applications, with particular emphasis on soft electronics for wearable sensors and functional synthetic tissues targeting in-vivo organ repair. He also shows great interest in methods and techniques to improve printing efficiency and accuracy that are related to the cost and quality of printing large-scale 3D structures.

Mingyu received his Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales, where he had funds from the Australian Research Council and a private bioprinter company on the research of flexible thin-film electronics printing and bioprinting process. He gained extensive experience and knowledge of 3D printing mechanisms, specifically in 3D printing material characterization, process optimization, microfluidics, and computational fluid dynamics.
